Range State Park is located on Lower Range Pond. There’s a 10 HP motor limit for boats on the pond.

By far one of the better places to go kayaking in southern Maine. The motor limit keeps the jet boats away and the limited access help keeps the crowd down. The majority of people who come here stay at the beach so the pond doesn’t feel crowded.

The fishing is great. There’s a massive shallow weed bed which allows for good large mouth bass fishing. Small mouth and plenty of perch are there as well. I have yet to see a trout but that could be because I’m not out at sunrise or sunset.
